Yamaha Raptor 700r 2008
by Nick HarrisYamaha Raptor 700R – The Raptor 700, with its 686cc fuel injected motor, is the most powerful Yamaha sport ATV ever. Unlike the YFZ 450 the Raptor 700 isn’t just designed to race. Yamaha built the 2008 Raptor 700 to tackle a wide range of riding conditions ranging from trails to sand dunes.
The Raptor 700 has been a favorite for some time but Yamaha introduced an all new version in 2006. Included on the list of improvements for 2006, 2007 and 2008 are a larger engine (686cc, up from the previous 660cc), an improved performance in the low and mid-range power-bands, a new five speed manual transmission with reverse and of course the new electronic fuel injection system (EFI, or YFI if you prefer to call it Yamaha fuel injection).
Raptor 700R enthusiasts also have a wide range of high performance raptor 700 parts available to boost performance even further but be careful, this powerful Yamaha ATV can and will make you work to get the last ounce of power from its impressive stock form. The Yamaha Raptor 700 has power to spare. We’ll cover the most popular raptor 700r performance parts in upcoming reviews, check back soon.
