Kawasaki KFX 400
by Nick Harris on Sep 2The Kawasaki KFX400 ATV, manufactured by Kawasaki Industries inc and powered by its 398cc liquid cooled 4 stroke engine, is known as one of the most well rounded ATVs in existence. Although no longer in production the KFX400 may well be best remembered for its balanced power and handling characteristics.
The KFX400 may have recently become viewed as being best suited for trails but hardcore racers often look at only the basics because they know they’ll be replacing everything else with high performance parts. If racing is your intention there are plenty of aftermarket KFX400 parts available and the KFX400 itself has some great basics. The dry sump lubrication system for example allows the engine to sit lower in the chassis which lowers the center of gravity and improves handling.
