Jeremy Lusk Death – Video of Accident
by Nick Harris on Feb 10Freestyle motocross rider Jeremy Lusk has died today of head injuries while trying to land a competition jump, he was 24, and the FMX community is feeling a sense of profound loss as we must say goodbye to one of it’s brightest stars. It’s with great hesitation that ATV Style is posting this Jeremy Lusk video of the accident, it’s not pretty, but it IS a reminder not to attempt this kind of thing yourself. Things do go wrong.
Update: the accident video has been removed from youtube and the internet at the request of a Lusk family representative. As such it’s been replaced on this page with a tribute memorial video. Please share any thoughts or stories about Jeremy, he’s gone but never forgotten.
Doctors said: “He was in a medicine-induced coma as a protective measure, and the medicine was being reduced to see how his body responded. That didn’t mean he was going to wake up. He was in shock and that got worse last night, until he stopped responding and entered into cardiac and respiratory failure.”
Jeremy lived in Temecula, Calif. He had a great 2008 season and won Freestyle gold at the X Games as well as silver in “Best Trick” for landing a double-grab Heart Attack back flip. He also won a bronze helmet at the Moto X World Championships in his hometown. Deepest sympathies go out to the entire Lusk family.

Miss ya Jeremy, RIP
A legend and such a stand up guy that me and my son looked up to. A kid who had so much luv from the dirt bike community. A huge loss for the sport itself. I will always remember his debut on m80, quiet humble and knew his stuff. My son loved to watch him!!!!! Much luv Jeramy!!!! see u on that endless trail up in heaven when I get there!!
