ATV Fuel Injection Tuning With A PIM

ATV fuel injection technology is constantly making significant strides in bringing proven performance into a more affordable price range. Fuel injection systems provide a dramatic performance improvement over natural induction and carburation based engines in that they are infinitely adjustable.

Perhaps the biggest advantage in using an ATV fuel injection system is the complete elimination of traditional jetting. Non fuel injected ATV engines need to adjust the jetting and needles with every performance upgrade or they risk catastrophic failure. In comparison an ATV fuel injection system not only eliminates that need to adjust jets the computer control unit can help keep an ATV engine safe in any running condition.

Instead of fumbling with jets it’s much easier to just plug in your laptop.
Fuel Injection Computer Controls
EFI management, or electronic fuel injection management, is proven ATV racing technology and a fuel injection PIM unit, or Peripheral Interface Unit, allows full control of your ATVs EFI management from your laptop computer. Yoshimura brought PIM units to market several years ago but their price has kept them out of most tool boxes.

Next month Yoshimura plans to launch version 2 of their proven PIM units and although still expensive with an MSRP in the $350.00 range I expect to see more of them sold to weekend warriors as time goes on and prices continue to fall.
