Honda TRX300x
This Honda 300ex is a Powersports discontinued model (since 2008) and is available as virtually the same Honda ATV under the brand name TRX 300x. Features of this Honda 300ex include white and traditional red plastics and a powerful 282cc 4-stroke engine. New models don’t have the distinctive headlight mounted in front of the handlebars and the plastics are sportier but with the same comfort. MSRP of $5,299 for 2009 TRX models.

Related: Honda 300ex ATV history stretches back to the 1993 model year when it was first parked on dealer showroom floors. The Honda 300ex instantly earned a popular following thanks in large part to solid ATV performance parts and features that didn’t break the bank to own. The 300ex is powered by a 282cc air-cooled single overhead cam four stroke engine and sits atop a double wishbone front suspension and mono shock rear suspension with about 6.7 and 7.9 inches of travel respectively. Owners could also ride the Honda 300ex all day long comfortably, it doesn’t require a lot of strength to drive in any terrain.

My 2003 Honda ex 300 runs for about 20 to 30 minutes then it begins stalling and dies. What is the problem? please help!
Hi Jason,
It sounds like time for an ATV tune-up. On top of your regular tuneup, for this particular problem, I would recommend draining and safely disposing of the old gas, replace the spark plug and make sure your jets are properly tuned for your riding conditions.
Assuming that your ATV is not overheating it’s likely just not getting a strong enough combustion when fully warmed up. Cleaning the carb and changing the air filter can’t hurt at the same time but start with making sure the engine is getting clean gasoline and enough of it.
