Helmet graphics, no that’s not a soccer ball! – About a year ago motorcycle racing legend Valentino Rossi entertained his racing fans at Mugello Italy, his home track, with a unique choice of helmet graphics. While I was pondering what the effects of such an extreme choice of helmet graphics might be on other riders I realized… I haven’t seen any ATV riders displaying such flare !?!

Valentino Rossi Helmet Graphics – as you can see if you were to look in the rear-view and see him approaching you might momentarily be distracted right? Well, not really, it would take more than cool helmet graphics to rile any professional racer. The effects on the crowd are much more noticeable and in this case they served to add to the Rossi legend which brings me to my point…

Why don’t ATV racers wear such extreme helmet graphics more often? I just took a quick look for ATV Graphics on eBay and didn’t find a kit featuring helmet graphics gone wild, not one! Sure I’ve seen some cool helmet graphics with patriotic themes or zealous use of wild patterns but nothing I can associate with an ATV rider.

ATV helmet graphics COULD be quite distracting and use for tactical advantage. The right look could also improve a racers “brand” and “marketability” which I think is just what this sport needs, don’t you? I’m not implying the sport needs to become less wholesome to attract a wider audience, I am saying the sport needs a wider attention. Don’t you agree?
