ATV Auctions - ATV Auctions can be scary the first time around if you don’t know what you are doing , but they don’t have to be. Some ATV auction tips are in order to help make your first buying experience a good one.

Getting Started with your first ATV auction. You will of course need to create your free auction account and read the small print for yourself.

Buying your first ATV or ATV parts- Visit the links to the live ebay auctions in the sidebar and compare, compare, compare. Once your account has been created spend some time browsing through the ATV auction listings. Spend some time looking around in your account control panel. Spend some time looking at feedback and comments attached to most listings. The key here is take your time.

Don’t feel pressured into hurrying up. It’s very likely that another similar sale will come along over the next few days or weeks so be patient. That’s the nature of ATV auctions. Patience can save you regrets and headaches if your first ATV purchase at auction is a hasty one. Being happy with your ATV buying experience is an important part of owning an ATV.

Compare more than just the ATV or ATV parts themselves. The ‘other’ costs that might be involved are just as important and can impact the bottom line dramatically. Shipping costs, payment fees, auction fees and other possible fees should be considered as well. Some auctions are handled by dealers who may charge handling fees. ALL fees need to be written into the auction details, make sure you account for them.

Use the tools available to you in evaluating each individual auction. Those include

  • review seller feedback or note a lack of it.
  • compare prices between similar ATVs to know the avg final price.
  • ask the seller for more pictures if the ones you see aren’t adequate.
  • ask the seller questions directly through the auction contact system.
  • use the auction shipping charge calculator when available before making a bid.
  • Use ATV information providers if you know the ATV VIN number.
  • Take the official Buying Safely Tutorial when you have an account.
  • Review the terms of the buyer/seller protection policy!
